With Brugge slipping into the rearview mirror Henri and I returned to Lille for the night. On our way, we stopped at the beach on this cool Summer evening in the south of Belgium near the French border and the city of Dunkirk (famous, at least to me, because of the story of the evacuation by British civilian ships at much peril of the British army after it became surrounded by the Germans).
Mostly trying to capture light and clouds (save for the middle few below), these pictures are perhaps a bit contentless for most people but serve as a nice finish to the man-made scenery of Brugge.
